Overview
There are journeys that take you somewhere, and there are journeys that stay with you long after you return home.
This is one of them.
Begin your adventure in Petra, the legendary Rose City, where the ancient Nabateans carved magnificent temples, tombs and monuments directly into the mountains. Walk through the Siq towards the Treasury and spend a full day discovering one of the world's great archaeological wonders before heading south into the vast landscapes of Wadi Rum.
Here, the pace changes. You meet your horse, leave the roads behind and begin six days of riding through the desert.
Wadi Rum is a landscape of extraordinary scale and beauty: immense sandstone mountains, hidden canyons, natural arches and endless valleys where red, white and even black desert meet. Each day in the saddle reveals something different, from dramatic rock formations and ancient inscriptions to remote valleys where the silence is broken only by the sound of your horse's hooves.
This is not a series of short desert rides. It is a true horse trek, travelling from one valley to the next and spending the nights deep inside the protected Wadi Rum landscape.
Your nights are spent beneath the desert sky, in traditional camps surrounded by the mountains, with comfortable tents, Bedouin hospitality and the possibility of sleeping beneath the stars. Meals are prepared by your local hosts, from fresh desert lunches to traditional Bedouin dishes, including zarb — meat and vegetables slow-cooked underground over hot coals. Around the fire, over sweet Bedouin tea and traditional food, you Xperience a way of life that has been shaped by this desert for generations.
This Xperience is made special by the people and horses who call Wadi Rum home. Your small group travels with local Bedouin guides who know the desert intimately, while the horses are carefully cared for, trained and prepared for long days in the saddle. From Petra's ancient stone to the silence of the desert and the warmth of its people, this is Jordan experienced through its history, its horses and its landscapes.
Ride through the Rose Desert, sleep beneath the stars, and discover Jordan the way it was meant to be experienced — on horseback.

Accommodation
3 nights in comfortable hotels, 5 nights sleeping beneath the stars in desert tents, and 1 special night in a private Bedouin tent with private bathroom.
Meals
Enjoy fresh, hearty meals throughout the journey, with lunches prepared and served in the desert and delicious dinners prepared by the local team.
Xperience genuine Bedouin flavours and hospitality, including zarb, a traditional dish of meat and vegetables slow-cooked underground — especially memorable after a day in the saddle, beneath the desert sky.
Meals on Days 1, 2 and 10 are not included, allowing you to discover Jordan’s local cuisine at your own choice of restaurants.
Itinerary
Day 1
Your Jordanian adventure begins at Amman Airport, where your driver will meet you for the journey south towards Petra. After around three hours on the road, arrive at your hotel and settle in for your first evening near the legendary Rose City.
Day 2
Today is dedicated entirely to Petra, one of the world's great archaeological wonders. Enter through the spectacular Siq and discover the famous Treasury, then take your time exploring the ancient Nabatean city, its monuments, tombs and dramatic mountain landscapes. Spend another night in Petra
Day 3
Today you meet the horses and begin your journey into the extraordinary landscapes of Wadi Rum. After arriving at Wadi Rum Village, saddle up and ride towards the great sand dunes and Khazali Canyon, where you can explore on foot before continuing deeper into the desert.
After lunch, return to the saddle and pass the Small Arch, Lawrence's House and the ancient Anfashieh inscriptions before reaching your camp near Um Ishrin. Spend the night surrounded by the desert, in a tent beneath the stars or, for the more adventurous, outside beneath the vast Jordanian sky.
Day 4
Today the trail takes you deep into Burrah Canyon, riding between its impressive sandstone walls before continuing towards Mushroom Rock. After lunch, ride towards the spectacular Burdah Arch, one of Wadi Rum's most remarkable natural formations, before continuing to your campsite. As evening falls, enjoy traditional Bedouin tea and a freshly prepared dinner before settling in for another night in the desert.
Day 5
Today you ride towards Umm Fruth Arch, one of Wadi Rum's most recognisable landmarks, passing directly beneath the natural arch with your horse. Continue south towards Um Mugur, where the red desert begins to give way to the quieter landscapes of the white desert near the Saudi border. Cross Nqura Canyon in the afternoon and continue towards Sabet Valley, where you camp with views towards Um Ad Dami, the highest mountain in Jordan.
Day 6
The desert changes character again as you ride through the wide open landscapes between Sabet Valley and Sweibet Valley. With vast stretches of white desert, red sand and dark volcanic rock surrounding you, today's ride offers a remarkable sense of space and solitude. Lunch is enjoyed in the open desert before continuing to your campsite for another unforgettable evening beneath the stars.
Day 7
Today you continue your journey through the protected Wadi Rum landscape, riding through one of its mesmerising canyons before stopping for lunch in the desert. In the afternoon, continue towards the distinctive Cow Stone and explore more of the surrounding valleys and rock formations. As the sun sets over the mountains, enjoy your final night sleeping in the heart of Wadi Rum.
Day 8
Your final day in the saddle takes you towards Jebel Al Qatar Spring, passing through landscapes rich in Bedouin history and discovering an ancient desert cemetery along the way. After lunch in the open desert, ride back towards Wadi Rum Village before continuing by jeep to your final desert camp in the Wadi Sabet area.
Tonight, celebrate your journey with a traditional Bedouin dinner of zarb, with meat and vegetables slow-cooked underground over hot coals. Your final night is spent in a private tent with a private bathroom, surrounded by the silence of the desert.
Day 9
After a short jeep transfer from the camp to Wadi Rum Village, leave the desert behind and travel towards the Dead Sea, a journey of around three hours through the changing landscapes of Jordan. Enjoy time beside the Dead Sea and Xperience its famous buoyant waters before continuing to Madaba for your final night in Jordan.
Day 10
Your Jordanian adventure comes to an end today. After breakfast, your driver will transfer you from Madaba to Amman Airport for your onward flight, taking with you memories of ancient Petra, six extraordinary days on horseback, Bedouin hospitality and nights beneath the stars.
